 Mr. Arindam Das is the Director of Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF), Jaipur, and has been with the organisation since 1994. Prior to his current assignment, Mr. Das headed the Business & Technology Department at PAF, New Delhi between 1997 and 2005. He is a graduate of the first cohort (1990) of the Apparel Merchandising & Marketing (AMM) from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi .
Mr. Das is actively involved in various workshops, seminars, and consultancy projects for the apparel industry. He has taught/ presented papers at other prestigious institutions in India and abroad, such as NIFT, NID, IIT (Delhi), SISI, (Delhi); Nottingham Trent University (UK), Dong Hua University (Shanghai , China); Hung Yen University of Technical Education (Hanoi , Vietnam); Melbourne Institute of Textiles (Australia), etc.
He has also served as a member of the Nottingham Trent University Validation Committee for Linea Academy , Durban (South Africa) in 2002, and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE), Kwai Chung, Hong Kong in 2005.
Mr. Das has also led teams for Curriculum Development for the BIFT [BGMEA (Bangladesh Garment Manufacturer Exporters Association)Institute of Fashion & Technology); the Technical Teachers’ Training College , Hanoi (Vietnam); and for development of case studies for the Hong Kong Polytechnic University . He has also presented papers at International Foundation for Fashion Technology Institutes (IFFTI) Conferences at Shanghai (2003) and New Delhi (2004), and at the Continuum 2006 International Conference on behalf of the Academy. |
