| Aims of the Program |
The FCWW program is aimed at students aspiring to be trained/ upgraded as fashion design professionals involved in design & product development, and who wish to anchor themselves as entrepreneurs in women’s wear fashion.
Besides providing an overview of Fashion business in India, the course seeks develop students an understanding of the design & development processes involved in creating a garment from concept to final product. It also equips them with an understanding of aspects of garment manufacturing and creates basic awareness and exploration of materials applied in garments. The course inculcates skills of visual presentation / communication applied in fashion industry. |

- Understand fit and balance of a garment.
- Adapt given blocks for garment design variations.
- Develop awareness of sewing terminology and develop sewing skills.
- Identify and collect fabrics and trims applied in garments.
- Use design development process, illustration and technical skill sets in order to present a final women’s wear project.
